How do I follow up without a CRM?
A simple spreadsheet or notebook works. Track name, date, attempts, responses, notes, and always the next follow-up date.
You do not need software. You need a system, and a free spreadsheet is plenty. Make seven columns: name, contact info, date received, attempts made, their responses, your notes, and, underline this one, next follow-up date. That last column is the entire secret. A lead without a scheduled next touch is a lead quietly dying, and the next-date column makes dying impossible. Every morning, open the sheet, work today's follow-ups, log what happened, set the next date. Ten minutes of admin protects hours of prospecting. Fancy tools can come later. The habit cannot wait. Start the sheet today, it costs nothing but the excuse.
